Clare Ridge Art
Having studied Fine Art at the Central School of Art and Design, London and the University of Leeds in the late 70's early 80's, I now live surrounded by fields at the edge of the small village of Ousden, between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
I've always been interested in and sought solace in animals and wildlife and have the wonderful opportunity to go out and observe, experience and draw them first hand.
I find hares in particular beautiful, haunting and enigmatic creatures whose energy and anatomical strength I feel both inspired and privileged to try and capture in my latest work "A series of Hares", recently exhibited at The Aldeburgh Gallery, Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
